LittleBigPlanet 3 Release Date Confirmed for Nov. 18

Sackboy and friends will be arriving this November. According to a post on the Playstation Blog, the third entry in the LittleBigPlanet series will be released on the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 on November 18. In celebration of this, several pre-order bonuses for LBP3 have been announced.

EA Subscription Service Coming to Xbox One

EA is launching their own version of Playstation Plus. According to a post on their website, EA will be launching a new subscription service for the Xbox One called EA Access. EA Access will be a monthly subscription service, it will cost $5 per month or $30 for one year and will provide Xbox One owners with unlimited access to select EA games.

Sonic Boom Coming to Wii U & 3DS in November

Sonic Boom has been named and dated. New details have emerged on the Sonic reboot; Sega will be releasing two Sonic Boom games this November according to a story by KotakuSonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 11 and Sonic Boom: Rise of the Lyric will be released for the Wii U on Nov. 18. Sega has also revealed the cover art for both games.

Gamestop Offering Exclusive Batman: Arkham Knight Red Hood DLC

The Red Hood will be joining the ranks in Batman: Arkham Knight. According to a leaked image, Gamestop is offering Batman: Arkham Knight Red Hood DLC as an exclusive pre-order bonus. This is in addition to the Harley Quinn DLC that’s being offered as a pre-order bonus for all retailers.

Anvil Engine Detailed in Assassin’s Creed Unity Experience Trailer

Ubisoft has lifted part of the curtain on the gameplay engine driving Assassin’s Creed Unity. Earlier today, Ubisoft released the Assassin’s Creed Unity Experience Trailer, which highlights the new Anvil Engine. Ubisoft have provided a brief look into what will be driving the first current-gen Assassin’s Creed game.

MGSV Screenshot Used in News Report on Child Soldiers

Apparently video game graphics have become difficult to separate from real life images. News Station Russia Today ran an interview with hip-hop artist and ex-child soldier Emmanuel Jal on the issue of child-soldiers when suddenly an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain pops up. Either someone at Russia Today is a big MGSV fan, or simply grabbed the first image they could find on Google.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 4 Coming Next Week

The penultimate episode of The Walking Dead Season Two is less than a week away. According to a new trailer, the fourth episode of The Walking Dead, titled “Amid the Ruins” is scheduled to release next week. This comes only a few weeks after releasing the Season Finale for The Wolf Among Us.

Assassin’s Creed Unity “Revolution” Gameplay Trailer Released

A new trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game has emerged. Ubisoft released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity today. The “Revolution” trailer features the new main character Arno Dorian narrating a few brief story points over slips of him killing Parisian guards in a myriad of ways (though it mostly involves blades).

The Wolf Among Us “Cry Wolf” Review

Whatever my expectations were for the final episode of The Wolf Among Us, especially after the lackluster fourth episode, they have been exceeded. It’s taken a while to get here, but the fifth and final episode of the first season of The Wolf Among Us, titled “Cry Wolf” is a resoundingly satisfying finale that cleanly and pleasantly ties up every plot point introduced in the previous episodes. In addition to concluding the narrative in a cohesive way, “Cry Wolf” stands on its own with a unique tone and pacing. It’s an action-packed episode featuring some of the most interesting ideological choices we’ve ever seen in a Telltale game.

What’s wrong with Wolfy? I can hear him barking.

Original Movie Cast Returns in Alien: Isolation Pre-Order Bonus

If you’ve ever wanted to step into Ellen Ripley’s shoes, now’s your chance. Creative Assembly Community Manager Ngan Nguyen announced via the Playstation Blog, a pre-order bonus for Alien: Isolation in the form of an additional mission called “Crew Expendable.” This bonus content will see the return of Ellen Ripley as well as the Nostromo Crew from Alien.
